The purpose of Counseling Services is to provide quality behavioral health services to the students of Geneva College. These services are intended to improve or sustain an individual's level of functioning in order to prevent the need for more intensive treatment.
Services include assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, referral and advocacy, and training and consultation with staff and faculty. Counseling services are free to all enrolled undergraduate students. Our staff can also meet with enrolled graduate students, faculty, and staff for a one-session consultation and assist them with connecting to a professional counselor off campus. Services are confidential. Some common issues include anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress management, relationships, family, trauma, addictions, and eating disorders.
