The Geneva College Center for Faith & Life announces the upcoming release of A Framework for Biblical Integration and Learning: A Practical Guide to Faithful Christian Learning in the Classroom by Calvin L. Troup, PhD, president of Geneva College. The Center’s first published material, this foundational work will be available in April 2025.
In A Framework for Biblical Integration and Learning, Troup offers a comprehensive, thoughtful guide to integrating biblical truth into the educational process from a young age. Aimed at educators — parents and teachers alike — this book provides a practical framework for fostering purposeful learning in the classroom on the bedrock of a biblical foundation in all subjects.
Rooted in biblical literacy, the book encourages educators to engage students in understanding how all knowledge — whether in history, science, or the arts — finds its foundation in the truth of Scripture. Troup challenges educators to lead by example, guiding students into a deeper biblical literacy that integrates God’s word into every facet of learning. This approach fosters not just academic excellence, but also spiritual growth, creating an educational environment where faith and knowledge are intertwined.
Troup writes, “All things hold together in Christ. It is His Spirit that helps us to understand His word and, at His leading, thoughtfully integrate it with our lived experiences in the world and in our work.” By helping students connect their studies with biblical truth, educators invite them to be part of a larger story — one that emphasizes not only intellectual growth but also their place in a vibrant, Kingdom-oriented community.
This book is an essential resource for Christian educators who wish to create classrooms where students experience all learning as a purposeful pursuit of God's truth. By equipping the next generation to approach all subjects with a Christ-centered mindset, educators play a pivotal role in shaping lifelong learners who see their academic journey as part of a larger mission to serve and honor God.
