The Geneva College Music Department presents the Geneva College Jazz Band, Saturday, April 8 at 8 p.m., 2017 in John White Chapel, Old Main Auditorium. "In The Mood XXII" continues the tradition of re-animating sounds from the Big Band era and the wonderful and ever popular Swing Music of the 30s and 40s.
The annual Jazz Concert has become one of the most popular events on campus each spring, providing a high energy concert that continues to entertain and attract all ages. The program will include several vocal solos in addition to the instrumental solo features performed within the band.
Currently, 20 students are shaping the traditional look of the early swing bands with contained brass, saxophone and rhythm sections.
Adults can attend the performance for $8 a ticket and $3 for students. Tickets are limited, so plan early and call the Music Department for tickets at 724-847-6660.
