Swarthmore, PA - Geneva’s slow start on the hardwood, shooting only 25%, allowed Moravian to take a 29-11 lead after the first quarter of play. The Golden Tornadoes were unable to recover dropping a 96-58 decision. The loss splits the weekend’s tournament play for Geneva, handing the women a 1-2 overall record.
Getting into foul trouble didn’t help offensive efforts. Geneva went into the locker room at the half, down 46-27.
Callie Ford (New Middletown, OH/Springfield Local) tallied a double double with 16 points, 11 rebounds. Miranda Heaney (New Castle PA/Union) also reached double points recording 13. Marissa Heaney (New Castle PA/Union) scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds.
