Grove City, PA – The Golden Tornadoes extended its winning streak to 14 with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-21) decision over Grove City Wednesday (Oct. 5) night. The
Grace Hayes (Westminster, MD/Westminster) dominated the Wolverines with 11 kills in 17 swings committing errors for a .529 hitting percentage. Marissa Naples supported the offensive efforts with seven kills. Carolyn Kaufer (Albion, PA/Northwestern) and Sydney McNulty (State College, PA/State College Area) posted six kills apiece.
Gabrielle Dickson (Brookfield, OH/Kennedy Catholic)recorded 14 digs supported by Bailey McDonald (Amity, PA/Bishop Canevin) with 11.
McDonald also added 16 assists while Alaina Lytle (Warren, OH/Lakeview) tallied 17.
As a team, the Golden Tornadoes earned six blocks.
Geneva will turn around quickly, returning to the court tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 6) in Ohio to face Hiram at 7 p.m.
