Beaver Falls, PA – The Geneva Women’s tennis team shone on the home court today against Bethany College, earning a 9-0 victory in their home opener.
Freshmen first singles Rachael Letterman (Moon Township, PA/Moon) defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore second singles Katheryn Deitrick (Beaver, PA/Beaver) rolled over her opponent 6-0, 6-1 win.
Junior Sara Stoll (Norwalk, OH/Norwalk) and freshman Jana Newberry (Lititz, PA/Warwick) were on top of their game in first doubles, winning 8-0.
“It’s always good to get a solid win under our belts,” says Coach Craft. She continued, “Seeing the contributions our freshmen can make was exciting as well.”
Geneva enters the court again on Saturday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at LaRoche College.
