Women’s Soccer Offensive Explosion Defeats Penn State Beaver 8-0

Beaver Falls, PA – Eight different Golden Tornadoes found the back of the net in Geneva women’s soccer season home opener on Wednesday, September 7. The 8-0 decision over Penn State Beaver raises Geneva’s overall record to 2-0. 

Geneva tallied six goals in the first half. Sophomore forward Becca Ceffaratti (West Chester, PA/Bayard Rustin) earned her second game-winning goal opening the Golden Tornadoes scoring in the second minute of the game. 

Sophomore midfielder Megan Schoeneweis (Moon, PA/Moon) earned her second goal of the season for a 3-0 lead.

On Saturday, September 10 Geneva will host Anderson starting at 4 p.m.
