Men’s Soccer Defeats Muskingum on Road 4-0

New Concord, OH – Now 4-3-1, the Golden Tornadoes defeated Muskingum 4-0 on the road Saturday (Sep 24) evening.

Liam O'Halloran (Elyria, OH/Elyria Catholic), Abel Carleton (Darlington, PA/Beaver County Christian School) and Josh Brenize (Chambersburg, PA/Chambersburg) spearheaded the four goal attack. Carleton, assisted by Brenize, opened scoring (5:42) for the Golden Tornadoes. Two minutes later, O’Halloran finished Carleton’s pass for the 2-0 halftime score. 

Brenize found the back of the net early to start the second half, assisted by O’Halloran. O’Halloran secured the win with a long shot outside the box at 49:42.

“A complete performance by our group tonight,” said head coach Gary Dunda. “We scored four beautiful goals and our backline was rock solid. I am very proud of the group and we are excited for next week.” 

The Golden Tornadoes return home for their next three games starting on Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. against Allegheny.
