Oberlin, OH – The Geneva men’s track and field excelled in Friday’s Crimson and Gold Invitational meet. The record setting season continued as yet another school record was broken along with three first place finishes in three different events.
“The men had another great meet on Friday,” said head coach Phil Thompson. “We ran some good times on the track and had some good marks in the field.
Junior Jake LaGorga (North Huntington, PA / Norwin) reset his indoor pole vault record at 3.95 meters (12 feet, 9 inches) that he broke last weekend.
Junior sprinter Cam Unrath (Wexford, PA / Pine Richland) won the 60 meter dash with a final time of 7.13 seconds.
Junior thrower Isaac Barringer (Delta, OH / Toledo Christian) won the shot put event throwing 13.4 Meters (40 feet).
Freshmen jumper Jesse Garcia (Mechanicsville, MD / Chopticon High) won the long Jump at 6.22 meters (20 feet-5 inches).
The Golden Tornadoes turn around in less than 24 hours to compete at the Jim Wuske Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union on Saturday, February 6.
