Finleyville, PA – Women’s Cross Country finished fourth at Washington & Jefferson College’s Invitational Friday evening out of the eight teams competing.
“The weather was cold and wet and the course was muddy and hilly, in other words, a perfect fall evening for cross country,” said head coach Brian Yowler.
Sophomore Havilah Gaugler (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) finished in ninth place leading Geneva with a time of 20:38.48.
“We rested one of our top runners, Becca Miller, but Havilah Gaugler regained the number one spot on the team followed closely by Amy Pinson and top freshmen Hannah Mansell,” said Yowler.
Amy Pinson (Colorado Springs, CO/Homeschool) finished with a time of 21:05.27.
The Golden Tornadoes will enjoy a week off from competition, returning to action Saturday, October 17 at the Oberlin Invitational.
