Women’s Soccer wins 4-1 with a come from behind victory

Cresson, PA- Geneva women’s soccer won a hard fought match against Mt. Aloysius 4-1. The GTs battled hard after the original deficit to equalize and dominate play for the remainder of the match.

 gt womens soccerJunior Kimberly Orihel (Green, OH/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) continued her strong offensive play to complete a game hat trick. Heidi Mann (Colorado Springs, CO/Evangelical Christian Academy) also contributed to the strong offensive stance with a goal of her own.

 “I’m proud of our team for playing hard for ninety minutes. They worked well together in a very physical game.” Said Coach Sumner.

 Geneva will be back on the pitch at Highmark Stadium in Pittsburgh Wednesday September 9th at 7:30 facing Pitt Greensburg.
