Bethany, WV – Softball dropped two at Bethany Tuesday afternoon with final scores of 5-2, 3-1. The two losses lower Geneva’s overall record to 14-15 overall, 4-5 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference.
Geneva’s two hits translated into a pair of runs in the third inning of the first game. Lucia Fee (Wampum, PA / Mohawk) two-rbi single brought home Clara Sevy (Sykesville, MD / Chapelgate Christian) and Laura Beck (Canfield, OH / Canfield). Bethany would outhit Geneva nine to two for the game one win.
Geneva’s lone run in the second game came in the bottom of the second of game two on a walk, single, fielding error and sacrifice fly. Samantha Johnson’s (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) single to right field would be the only hit allowed by the Bison.
Johnson was charged with the loss in game one, Andy Hinds (Montrose, PA / Montrose) was charged in game two.
Instead of returning to campus, the Golden Tornadoes head down the Kentucky to face Thomas More tomorrow, Wednesday, April 15 in a doubleheader at 3:30 p.m.
