Beaver Falls, PA – Junior pitcher, Samantha Johnson (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) has been selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) pitcher of the week for her work against Washington & Jefferson and Waynesburg last week (March 30 – April 4).
Johnson opened her third season 3-0 against conference competition in 22 innings of work finishing the week with a 3.27 ERA. Johnson’s six strikeout performance against Waynesburg allowed Geneva to sweep Waynesburg on Thursday.
Johnson and the Golden Tornadoes are scheduled to host Grove City Wednesday April 8 starting at 3:30 p.m. followed by another home doubleheader against Saint Vincent on Saturday April 11 at 1 p.m.
