Bethany, WV- Geneva tennis rolled over Bethany in a 9-0 final. The stainless win raises Geneva′s overall record to 6-6, 2-5 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference.
"Beth (Elizabeth Stewart) won the match of the season tonight and showed a ton of heart. She was down 4-1 in the third set and came back for the win," said head coach Mandee Craft.
"This was a great 9-0 win for us."
The doubles swept in the final scores of 8-3, 8-1, and 8-0. In the number one singles spot, Elizabeth Stewart (Rochester, PA/Rochester) defeated Bison opponent, Snyder; 7-6 (4), 5-7, 7-5.
Thursday October 16 Geneva finishes up its regular season at Saint Vincent at 3:30 p.m. before the PAC Championship Tournament in Erie, PA the weekend of October 24.
