Geneva Tennis sits 5th after PAC Championships day one

Erie, PA- After a full first day at the Presidents′ Athletic Conference Women′s Tennis Championships Geneva sits fifth among the nine conference opponents. Geneva finished its′ regular season 6-7 overall, 2-6 in the league.

"All in all it hasn′t been a bad day," said head coach Mandee Craft. "Most of us were able to improve on our in-season result, especially Megan and Sam, who both avenged a recent loss. We′re still alive in three brackets so we′re excited for tomorrow too."

Still alive tomorrow is Samantha Jensen (Muskegon, MI/Mona Shores) in the third singles spot after defeating Washington & Jefferson opponent; 3-6, 7-6 (2), 1-0 (10-5). Megan Hinds (Montrose, PA/Montrose) advances in the fourth singles bracket after her 7-6 (10-8), 6-4 win over Thomas More.

In doubles #2, Hinds and Sara Stoll (Norwalk, OH/Norwalk) continue tomorrow after their 8-3 win over Thiel.
