Beaver Falls, PA- Geneva scored two early runs on RBIs by Jeremy Herzog (Freedom) and Aaron Witman (Shalom Christian Academy, PA) in the third but couldn′t push any more runs across and fell 3-2 to Bethany.
"We had our chances but left 12 men on base," said Geneva coach Alan Sumner.
Shane Wingard (Apollo-Ridge and Dan Jeffreys (Moon) each had a pair of hits as the Golden Tornadoes finished with 10 hits.
Geneva, now 9-21 and 5-9 in the Presidents′ Athletic Conference, returns to action Tuesday at Grove City.
