Chapel, a weekly devotional time for the Geneva College community, is conducted on Wednesdays from 10:15-11:00 a.m. in Metheny Fieldhouse. This time provides an opportunity for the campus to gather together to praise God, hear His word, and seek His favor and direction. Attendance is required for students and the entire campus community is encouraged to participate.
The Chapel Leadership Team selected "Crazy Love," based on the book by Francis Chan, to be the 2011-12 theme for chapel services. The scheduled speakers are chosen with the intention to engage students with their messages, and challenge them to strengthen personal beliefs. Oscar Nominee and Student Academy Award Winner Gregg Helvey, known for his films focusing on social justice issues, is among speakers scheduled to visit campus. Welcomed back to chapel is Kenny Crosswhite, a NASCAR Chaplain who has shared with Geneva students before. During "Calling and Vocation Week," Russ and Bethany Warren, Geneva alumni and local owners of the Beaver Falls Coffee and Tea Company, will share a message of their own calling God has placed on their life.
