Beaver Falls, PA - At the end of each academic year, Geneva College and the Golden Tornadoes highlight excellence in the classroom. Geneva has enjoyed great success for yet another athletic season, but it has also continued a string of excellence off the field. The Geneva College Athletic-Directors Award was created following the 2001 school year and honors juniors and seniors who have compiled at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA while also participating on a varsity team.
The 2011 class of Athletic-Director Award winners includes 43 student-athletes, which is the fifth highest number in the past ten years and also the most since 2007. The number of honorees is up from 37 in 2010.
