On Thursday January 7, 2010, new spring freshman students and transfer students will be on the Geneva College campus for mid-year orientation. The three-day orientation is designed to help new freshman and transfer students transition comfortably to the campus.
Under the direction of Ryan Holt, interim director of the student programs and leadership office, the orientation will feature conferences concerning academic issues and residence life as well as an opportunity for students to connect with their department chairpersons and professors. Students will also participate in an experiential learning activity with the Pisgah program and the Pittsburgh experience, which includes a Gateway Clipper boat cruise.
Following orientation, new freshman will begin the learning and transition one-credit course that is required of all Geneva students.
