Erie, PA – It was a rough go-round for the Geneva women′s tennis team on Monday in a 9-0 loss to defending PAC champion Grove City College. On Friday night, the Golden Tornadoes got themselves back on track as they turned the tables against Pitt-Bradford in an 8-1 victory. The win pushed Geneva′s overall record to 3-4 on the season.
Geneva won four of five singles matches following a perfect 3-0 sweep in doubles play. Chelsea Cover, Amy Weller, Bethany Ragonesi and Maura McLaughlin each pulled off the parlay with wins in singles and doubles competition.
The Golden Tornadoes will enjoy a week away from competition before getting back into action within the Presidents′ Athletic Conference next Friday when they host Thomas More College.
