TITANSTOWER, GENEVADROPS 3-0 DECISION
TO WESTMINSTER
New Wilmington, PA - For only the second time all season, Geneva′s women′s volleyball team dropped a decision to a PAC opponent. On Friday night, the Golden Tornadoes fell victim to Westminster College by the count of 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 26-24). The loss dropped Geneva′s overall record to 21-8, including a 12-2 mark against PAC competition.
Geneva could never get any flow in the match as Westminster jumped out early and took game one 25-18. Each game got progressively more competitive, but the Golden Tornadoes could not get over the hump. The Titans managed to sneak past Geneva in the third and final game by the score of 26-24.
Adriane Blake again led the offense with 12 kills while freshman Rachel Kuegler chipped in with 10 kills in the match. Senior Elizabeth Fisher came up with eight kills in a losing cause. Brandi Snavely directed the offense with 30 assists.
Geneva will play its third match in as many days on Saturday night when it welcomes Thomas More to Metheny Fieldhouse. Thomas More is the only other PAC school this year to defeat the Golden Tornadoes.
