GAME TIMES CHANGED FOR SAINT VINCENTDOUBLEHEADER
Beaver Falls, PA - Geneva College and Saint Vincent College have agreed to change the game times for their basketball doubleheader on Saturday. Originally scheduled for Saturday evening, the schools have agreed to make the games a matinee to accommodate radio obligations for the Pittsburgh Steelers play-off game on Saturday night.
As a result, Geneva′s women will face Saint Vincent at 2 pm with the men′s game scheduled to tip off at 4 pm.
This will be the first meeting between Geneva and Saint Vincent on the season for both the men and women. In fact, Geneva′s men did not face Saint Vincent last year for the first time since the 1980-81 season. It will mark the first meeting between the two schools as members of the Presidents′ Athletic Conference. The schools followed each other from the Keystone Empire Collegiate Conference to the American Mideast Conference and will now be competing against one another in yet another league.
As for the women, Geneva defeated Saint Vincent last year for just the tenth time in 53 career meetings. Geneva′s women will put its perfect 9-0 record on the line Thursday night at Pitt-Greensburg before returning home to face the Bearcats on Saturday afternoon.
