SAINT VINCENTHALTS GENEVAPAC SUCCESS
Latrobe, PA - Two matches against Presidents′ Athletic Conference foes had Geneva′s tennis team brimming with confidence. Playing in its first season as a member of the PAC, the Golden Tornadoes had easily handled Bethany and Chatham and took a 4-2 overall record into Monday′s meeting at Saint Vincent.
The Bearcats quickly brought Geneva′s women back down to earth with an impressive 9-0 victory over the Golden Tornadoes.
Geneva fell to 4-3 overall and lost for the first time against a PAC opponent. Allison Krisza and Tess Roholt, who had previously been unbeaten in singles action this fall, each dropped their first singles decisions of the season.
Saint Vincent, which was a highly touted program as a former member of the American Mideast Conference, is clearly one of the top programs in the PAC.
Geneva will take another shot at a PAC opponent later this week when the Golden Tornadoes travel to rival Westminster on Thursday afternoon.
