GENEVASPLITS ANOTHER PAIR AT CMU
Beaver Falls, PA - It was déjà vu all over again for Geneva′s women′s volleyball team on Saturday. One day after picking up its first victory of the season in a two match split at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational, the Golden Tornadoes split another two matches with a loss to Capital and a victory over Otterbein. The split moved Geneva′s overall record to 2-12 on the season.
In the first match, Geneva dropped a 3-1 decision to Capital, who was ranked in the top 25 in Division III coming into the night. Geneva won the first game, but dropped three straight. Adriane Blake and Sarah Bruck led the offense with 20 kills and 10 kills respectively.
In the night cap, Blake and Bruck again led the offense with a combined 25 kills. Brandi Snavely added 28 assists, while Faith Guerra came up big on defense with 30 digs.
Geneva will take its 2-12 record into PAC action next Wednesday when they compete in a tri-match at Waynesburg College.
