Sluggish Performance Leads to Loss at CMU
Pittsburgh, PA - Geneva′s volleyball team turned in a less than desirable effort on Wednesday night which resulted in a 3-0 straight set loss to Carnegie Mellon University. The Golden Tornadoes managed 22 points in game two, which was their high mark for the night. The loss dropped Geneva to 2-3 overall on the young season.
Marisa Barickman continued to lead Geneva′s offense. On Wednesday she threw down a team best 14 kills, while Megan Summers chipped in with six kills and added three blocks.
Caryn Azure helped out with 20 assists and Allison Seldomridge had a team high 14 digs.
Geneva will enjoy its longest lay-off without a match for the whole season. The Golden Tornadoes won′t take the court again until they play their home opener against Thiel College on September 14th.
