The Geneva College International Music Festival strives to provide world-class instruction by inviting world-renowned faculty and guest artists. With piano as its original component, the festival is now open to all instruments/voices and students of all nationalities in grades 1-12. We provide comprehensive learning opportunities filled with masterclasses by world-level pianists and teachers, fun theory/aural skills sessions, and story-telling history lessons.
We will celebrate the students’ work with a festival recital at the conclusion of the week where all participants will have an opportunity to perform. As a new addition, there will be a solo competition at end of the festival. Students are encouraged, but not required, to participate in the competition.
In addition to the musical training, overnight students will also have an opportunity to experience college life by staying on the campus of Geneva College, eating in the dining hall, and learning about college life with our on-campus counselors.
International campers will receive daily ESL courses and visit local attractions.
International participants, please contact Dr. Sha Wang at wangsha@shawang.net or shawang@geneva.edu
