Where can I recycle electronics and other items?
The Beaver County Recycling Center (located in Brady′s Run Park) accepts many recyclable items. Some local businesses also recycle batteries and certain electronics. Search earth911.com to find a recycling center or business near you that accepts particular items (ink cartridges, cell phones, computer monitors, other electronic devices, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL′s),rechargeable batteries, yard waste, and much more.)

How do I dispose of household hazardous wastes?  (automotive fluids, compact fluorescent light bulbs, paint cans, pesticides & herbicides, cleaners, and other hazardous materials). 
Collection events are held each summer and fall to collect and dispose of household hazardous wastes. Information about collection events in South-west Pennsylvania is available here.  

Where can I get rid of old appliances and other scrap metal? 
Just call Tiger Pause at 724-843-2384, and they′ll take away your stove, fridge, or pile of scrap metal. The revenue will be used to fund Tiger Pause Youth Ministry. 

Where can I donate used appliances or left-over building materials? 
Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County accepts donations of used appliances in working condition, carpeting, paint, and a variety of construction materials for re-sale. Click here for a list of items accepted at 47 Bridge Street, Beaver Falls, PA or call 724-843-7939.

Can I recycle phone books?
Phone books are made paper that has already been recycled more than once. The fibers in the pages of phone books are too small to be used in making newsprint, and the ink is difficult to remove. For this reason, Abitibi does not accept phone books. However, phone books can be shredded for use as bedding for livestock.
