Recycling FAQ's

Recyclables collected in offices, classrooms, and dorm rooms should be emptied into larger paper recycling bins located in hallways and central office locations. Our custodial staff will take the bags from the hallways to the dumpsters outside.

NO. We must be accountable to put the proper items in the bins and dumpsters!     

As long as we have the proper materials in the bins our haulers have assured us the material is taken to the proper site.

Geneva receives a financial incentive based on the amount of paper recycled in the Abitibi Paper Retriever bins. While Geneva must pay for hauling of garbage and commingled recyclables, the disposal cost per volume of recyclables is lower than the disposal cost of garbage.
