Requirements for Eligibility

All students who meet the criteria below will receive our Associate Degree Guarantee:

  • Transfers students with an incoming 3.0 GPA, and who hold a 3.0 GPA at Geneva determined at the end of the fourth semester
  • Must enroll full-time in a traditional undergraduate program at Geneva
  • Add Geneva College to submitted FAFSA by May 1 ahead of academic year

Will my credits transfer?

At Geneva, we recognize the importance of receiving credit for your previous coursework. As part of the admissions process, an official transfer evaluation will be completed by Geneva College’s Transfer Enrollment Counselor to ensure that you receive all transferrable credit.

Who is eligible for the Associate Degree Transfer Guarantee?

This program is available to new transfer students entering the traditional undergraduate program in Fall 2025. Eligible students must have completed an associate’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree.

Can I qualify if I have an associate degree but earned it several years ago?

Yes, students who have a gap between earning their associate’s degree and pursuing their first bachelor’s degree are still eligible.

Are commuter students considered for Associate Degree Transfer Guarantee?

Yes, commuter students who meet all eligibility requirements qualify for the program. Living on campus is not a requirement.

Do I need to be enrolled full-time to participate in this program?

Yes, full-time enrollment is required.

Does my financial need impact eligibility?

No, financial need is not a factor in determining eligibility for the Associate’s Degree Transfer Guarantee.

Are there any additional fees or expenses not covered by the tuition guarantee?

Yes, while the program covers 100% of flat-rate tuition for up to three additional semesters after completing the first four semesters, students are responsible for fees, books, housing, and meals.

How does this impact my Veteran Education and Training Benefits?

Veteran and military benefits that are paid directly to the college may have tuition-only payment restrictions. The School Certifying Official in the Office of Financial Aid can assist in determining your remaining eligibility if you have used benefits at another institution.

Conditions for Implementation

The following conditions are also considered for Associate Degree Transfer Guarantee eligibility:

  • Available for new transfer students entering the traditional undergraduate program in Fall 2025 with an associate degree from an accredited institution and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA at the end of the fourth semester at Geneva College to qualify for the tuition guarantee for up to three additional semesters.
  • Applies only to the first declared undergraduate major at full-time pace. Changes in major, adding a concentration, minor, or additional major in later semesters will not be considered unless the courses align as electives for the original major.
  • The summer semester is not included in the four-semester completion period.
  • Covers 100% of flat-rate tuition through federal, state, and Geneva scholarships and grants for up to 3 additional semesters.
  • Federal loans and non-federal or non-state grants can be used for expenses beyond tuition, such as fees, books, housing, and meals, unless the funding organization specifies otherwise.
  • FAFSA must be completed by the firm deadline of May 1 prior to the academic year.
  • Renewal requires maintaining satisfactory academic progress.

The Geneva Tuition Promise

In addition to the Geneva Tuition Promise for new students starting in the fall of 2024, Geneva College is also renewing its financial aid model continuing to keep a Geneva education affordable for all students – starting in the fall of 2024 the highest achieving academic students can receive up to $20,000 annually and $80,000 over four years towards the completion of their Geneva degree. In addition, we are making a continued investment in students from Christian schools, out-of-state, or partner churches.

Did you know that in 2024, 96 students from PA were granted the Tuition Promise? As an academic community that seeks to serve Christ in all that we do we are thankful that through the Geneva Tuition Promise we can extend our education to many more in the years to come.

Students are required to complete a FAFSA for each school year in which you want to be considered for federal student aid. This process will determine if the applicant is Pell eligible. Completing the FAFSA form has never been easier.
