Hometown: Petersburg, OH
When I began working at Geneva: December 2024
Education: Westminster College (B.M. Music Education)
University of Chichester, U.K. (M.F.A. Composition & Orchestration)
What do I like about Geneva: I see everyone here – staff, faculty, students – living out what it means to be a Christian. The kindness, love, and fellowship one would expect is precisely what I see every day. And it never feels like an obligation – it is simply the natural outcome of the wonderful people, culture, and atmosphere here at Geneva College.
Hobbies: I enjoy reading (classic literature), podcasts, archery, camping, and fishing. I am also an avid practitioner of Jiu Jitsu, write and produce music, and love learning about other cultures (especially histories and mythologies).
Favorite Verse:
Exodus 14:13-15 “‘Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today… The Lord will fight for you; you need only to endure.’ Then the Lord said, ‘Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to go!’”
The word for “endure” (or “be still”) is a strong, resolute restraint. It is waiting with purpose, strength and trust. The word for “go” is setting out, purposeful action. Together, it reminds us that yes, God fights for us fervently. But we also have agency and must play an active role in living out His purpose for us.
All band and music students.
